Russell Rusty Edward Maguire, 80, of Meredith, died on October 11, 2009 at Goldenview Health Care Center, Meredith. He was born the son of George and Gertrude (Sinclair) Maguire in Brookline, MA, September 9, 1929. He grew up in the Boston area where he attended many Red Sox games as a young teenager. He then moved to Rochester, NH and attended Spaulding High School while working on his uncles farm, which he loved After graduation, he moved to Bethlehem where he spent many years before moving to Meredith. Rusty loved to build and was a skilled carpenter. He built many chalets in the North Country and many condos in the Lakes Region. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Jane (MacDonald) Maguire, three daughters, Kathleen Maguire of Edgewater, FL, Debra Charland and husband Bruce of Bethlehem, NH, Mary Beth Brown and Husband Patrick of Tacoma, WA; two sons, Patrick Maguire and wife Lisa of Hampton, VA and Scott Maguire and wife Sandra of Newbury, MA, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by 3 brothers, Robert and Richard Maguire and John Lutz and a son Michael Collins, Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association of America. 1 Bedford Farms Dr. Suite 105, Bedford, NH 03110. A calling hour will be held from 11am to 12 pm Friday, October 16, 2009 at Keller & Pillsbury Funeral Home, Littleton with the funeral to follow at 12pm with Rev. Sam Newton.
