Ruth "Ruthie" Mae (Jones) Creaney

Ruth "Ruthie" Mae Creaney (Jones), died Monday in her sleep, June 18, 2018 at the age of 95 at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen where she spent her last 6 years. She was born on March 10, 1923 in Audubon, NJ. The daughter of Leland Merchant Jones and Anna Mae Mitchell Jones, she was the wife of John "Jack" T. Creaney Sr. They were married on June 17, 1944 in Audubon, NJ .

She was born, raised, married and raised her three children in Audubon, NJ, where she resided for 69 years. She and her beloved husband," Jack" were married 63 years when he died in 2007. After selling their home in Audubon, they lived in Okeechobee, FL and Franklinville, NJ. Ruth moved to NH in 2007 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was known for her vibrant smile, loving her family and serving others.

Ruth spent many years working as a Title and Billing Clerk.

Ruth was one of the original members of the Audubon All Girl Drum and Bugle Corps, later named Bon Bons. She graduated in 1942 from Audubon High School where she sang in the Glee Club and supported Jack in his sport's teams. She helped organize and was president of the Little League Auxiliary. She organized and was president of the Camden Hot Stovers Auxiliary and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She and Jack organized and managed an independent basketball team for Audubon boys, occasionally playing before the Camden Bullets at Camden Convention Hall where Ruth kept time. Ruth and her father, Lee Jones organized Audubon Sports Girls' Softball and ran Legion dances for fundraising. When she retired to FL, she was a Pink Lady at Columbus Hospital; member of the Senior Singers, Genealogy Society, Board of Directors at her resort park and compiled two cookbooks as fundraisers. Ruth was a member of the Franklinville Methodist Church and after moving attended Faith Community Bible Church in Loudon, NH.

Ruth is survived by her son Garry (Nancy) J. Creaney of Myrtle Beach, SC, daughter Sharon (Dan) DeHart of Loudon, NH, and son John T.(Christina) Creaney Jr of Atco, NJ. Grandchildren Garry (Karen) Creaney of Medford, NJ; Cindy (Brian) Horne of Burlington Twp., NJ; Tina (Ray) Seitzinger and Scott (Erin) Ellis of Waterford Twp, NJ; Lindsay (Joe) Simone of Atco, NJ; Eric Creaney Blackwood, NJ; Shaun Ellis of Myrtle Beach, SC; Daniel (Danielle) DeHart of Dedham, MA and Caroline (Manish) Bhatia of Attleboro, MA. She left 18 Great Grandchildren and one to be born in August.

SERVICES: Visitation will be 9:30 am Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Faith Community Bible Church, 334 North Village Rd., Loudon, NH. A Celebration of Life will be held, 10:00 am Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Faith Community Bible Church 334 No. Village Rd, Loudon NH
