LITTLETON, N.H. ----- Ruth J. Morton, 73, of Union Street passed away, Monday, April 21, 2003 at the Littleton Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born a daughter of Edward and Gerry (Woods) Pouparg on, June 23, 1929 in Colebrook, NH. Ruth was a Charter Member of the Littleton Eagles Club #2629 where she had served as President over five times during her tenor along with serving a term as the State President for the Eagles Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Howard Shawney Post # 816 Womens Auxiliary. Ruth worked several years at the Henschel Shoe Company.
Surviving family member include her husband Walter Morton Sr. of Littleton, NH; four sons Walter Morton Jr. of Whitefield, NH, Terry Morton of Lisbon, NH, Larry Morton of Newton, NH, and Danny Morton of Methuen, MA; three daughters, Theresa Abbott of Methuen, MA, Donna Ash, of Bradford, MA, and Penny Van Coppenolle of Newton, MA; three sisters, Joan Bigelow and Betty Folsom both of Boscawen, NH, and Josephine Bonapharte of Allenstown, NH; and several grand and great grandchildren..
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 24th at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Rev. Lyn O. McIntosh officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery.
