Ruth Pinard, 72, of Manchester died on February 13, 2010 at Bentley Commons in Bedford. Born February 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Armand W. Pinard and Angelina (Blanche) Pinard of Manchester New Hampshire. Ruth, a devoted daughter and lifelong friend to her mother, grew up in Manchester where she attended local schools and is remembered by her brother, Armand, as an "excellent academic". Ruth, a retired Accounting Manager for New England Telephone (Verizon) for the Northern New England district, enjoyed reading, travelling the world, attending NASCAR races and watching professional sports. A dedicated fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and Boston Celtics, she never missed a game. Ruth, a devoted member of the Catholic Church, was a vibrant person who despite the many debilitating illnesses she faced over the past 10 years, continued to be a generous and charitable person. She enjoyed celebrating and decorating for every holiday and never missed sending a card for any occasion. In Her Life: She leaves behind a brother, Armand of Halifax, Nova Scotia, a niece Michelle, a nephew Michael, her three goddaughters, and many cousins and friends. Thank you to the many relatives and friends who have spent countless hours helping and supporting her. Thank you to the staff at Bentley Commons at Bedford for their assistance and care over the past year. Ruth enjoyed the time she spent there. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony Church, Belmont St, Manchester on Thursday at 9:30AM. Committal Prayers will follow in the Mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
