Passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp. Ruth was born August 28, 1919 in Middle River, Minnesota to Matilda M. (Klamppu) & Isak E. Komssi. She was married to Elmer Plante. She worked at Norton Pike Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1981. Also had worked as a stone stamper in Littleton, NH. Ruth was a 1939 graduate of Madison Memorial High School and enjoyed baking, gardening and drawing. Ruth is preceded in death by: her Husband, Elmer in 1989; her Parents; Sisters, Marie Pierce, Martha Cummings, Ellen Herlin & Toinie S. Komssi; Brothers, Brothers, Kosti, Toivo, Reino, Earl & Arvo Komssi and survived by: Sister Aune (Phillip) Hummel of Geneva,
Several Nieces and Nephews and many friends & caregivers at Cardinal Woods.
Friends will be received: 3-5:00 pm, Sunday, May 9, 2010, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio with a Funeral Service following at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. The family has chosen to have no local services. Interment will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Keller & Pillsbury Funeral Homes.
