Ruth H. Soucy

Ruth H. Soucy, 84, of Manchester, NH died on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, in Goffstown, NH surrounded by her family and friends in her final hours.

Ruthie was born on April 13, 1940, in Goffstown, NH, the daughter of the late Edward and Esther (Johnson) Furman. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester, NH.

She was a devoted mother to Kathy and Andy, her pride and joy; they felt that in the love and support she provided.

She endured many hardships in life, despite this she was full of love, laughter, and resilience. Always a wonderful neighbor and caring friend. She touched the lives of all who knew her with strength, kindness, and generosity. 

She cherished gatherings with family and friends, the joy of children and pets. Always on the hunt for a bargain, she enjoyed thrift stores and yard sales. She loved music and delighted in going to concerts. She also liked a nice cold beer and playing card games.

Ruthie leaves behind a legacy of immense humor, kindness, and strength although she could be tenacious and feisty at times. Her presence will be missed.

Members of her family include her daughter Kathy Soucy and son Andy Soucy, her siblings, Betty Furman, Lenny Furman, Robert Furman, Dorothy Asprocolas, three grandchildren, Nicholas, Curtis, Jason, four great grandchildren, Aidan, Ethan, Melina, Bentley and several nieces and nephews. 

SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Mount Calvary Cemetery, in Manchester, NH.
