SADIE ANN (ROMANOS) COREY
LITTLETON, NH -- Sadie Ann (Romanos) Corey, age 91, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at the Littleton Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born a daughter to Joseph and Eva (Ziter) Romanos on November 14, 1913 in Fort Kent, Maine.
Along with her first husband, Bobby, and her brother-in-law, Joseph, they operated Coreys Market for many years. Bobby was subsequently drafted and died in action in World War II. Years later, she married Joseph and they moved to Brattleboro, VT and owned and operated Sams Market. Upon retirement they moved to North Adams, MA for a few years before moving to Daytona Beach, FL.
Ten years ago after failing health, Sadie moved to Littleton. Shortly after her move to Littleton she became a resident at Laflammes Retirement Home where she had wonderful care by Rob and Yvonne Clark. Three weeks ago she was moved to the Lafayette Center due to the closing of the Retirement Home.
Sadie leaves three daughters, Roberta and Carroll Lyons of Littleton, NH, Marilyn and Glenn Stillings, of Littleton, and Joan McDonald Ziter of Park City, Utah; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Bobby, Joseph and four sisters predeceased her.
SERVICES -- The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Fleming as Celebrant and co-officiated by Sadies nephew Deacon Bruce Ziter. Burial will follow in the St. Rose Cemetery.
