It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Samson Duclair.
Samson was born on May 22,1955 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Francois Duclair and Lucira Dubuche-Duclair. He grew up with 8 brothers and sisters who he loved and adored.
At the young age of 9, Samson started working to help support his family. As a teen he worked 2 jobs during the day and at night he would attend classes to learn refrigeration.
At age 25, Samson left his cherished country of Haiti and moved to the United States of America in search of better opportunities for him and his siblings. When he arrived, he was able to quickly secure a job at a factory in Manchester, NH. When he was 27, he married his wonderful wife, Paulette. Together they had 3 children of whom they raised in Raymond, NH. He was a deacon at Raymond Baptist Church for many years. Samson attended a technical school in New Jersey where he obtained a degree in Heating and Air Conditioning. He worked for Total Air Design for many years before he formed his own company, Samson Duclair HVAC Inc. He was a pioneer for his siblings, and many relatives and friends to move to the United States.
A philanthropist at his core Samson felt the most himself when he was helping others. He was part of numerous charitable organizations including the CAM ministry. He donated time to the prison ministry as well. Samson founded the Haitian Community Center of NH. He organized countless fundraisers over the years including Operation Drum Drop following the devastating earthquake in Haiti in January of 2010. He always said, “Giving is a luxury we all can afford”. His beauty was seen through his gracious and selfless heart.
