Samuel Lee Mason, 32 years of age, passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2023, in Richmond, Virginia. Affectionately known as Sam or Sammy, he was born on August 20, 1990, to Bruce and Audrey Mason Jr. of Auburn, NH.
Sam attended Auburn Village School and Memorial High School. Growing up on his family's farm provided several opportunities to spend time with family and in the great outdoors. Sam enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking, as well as working with his hands. These skills later led to employment in hospitality and the construction industry. He was always eager to help whenever he could, often putting others' needs ahead of his own. Forever an optimist, Sam always made the best of any situation. His ingenious gift of gab and bright smile proved useful as he managed to make friends wherever he went. His cheerful presence will be sorely missed.
Samuel is survived by his parents, Bruce A. Mason Jr. and Audrey L. (Tracy) Mason; his sister, Lisa, brother in-law, Brian and nephew, Rhys Cunningham of Manchester, NH; paternal grandfather, Bruce A. Mason Sr. of Auburn, NH; maternal grandmother, Muriel A. Tracy of Auburn, NH; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins.

Interment will be later in the spring at the Longmeadow Cemetery in Auburn, NH, where a graveside service will be held for immediate family.
