Sandra Alexandria (Gimas) Plaisance, of Manchester, died at Maple Leaf Health Care Center on October 4, 2006. She was born in Manchester, the daughter of George and Marigoula (Papaiannou) Gimas and had been a lifelong resident of the city. She was employed by First National Stores and had also worked for Evangeline Hasiotis at Van Otis Chocolates for many years until her retirement in 1999. She was an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. In Her Life: Family members include two brothers, Shokes Gimas and Philip Gimas, both of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. She was precedeased by her husband, Walter Plaisance, by two sisters, Cecile Gimas and Cleona Seitz and by four brothers, James Gimas, Peter Gimas, Arthur Gimas and John Gimas. A calling hour will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 11:00 AM in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
