Sandra "Sandy" Toomey

Sandra “Sandy” J. (Gladysz) Toomey, 73, of Lima, OH and formerly of Manchester, passed away on May 17, 2011 at the Sara Jane Living Center in Delthos, OH.

She was born in Goffstown on May 8, 1938, the daughter of Stanley and Frieda (Schuff) Gladysz. She grew up in Manchester and was a graduate of West High School, Class of 1956. She lived in Nashua for over 30 years and moved to Ohio in 1991. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed camping and other outdoor activities. She was also a very proficient gardener and a great cook.

Family members include her husband of 46 years, Neal P. Toomey of Lima, OH; a son, Robert Toomey of Nashua; and nephews, nieces and cousins.

Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in St. Raphael Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
