Sara A. (Bobo) Shatney, 68, of 154 Sagamore Street, died at home February 16, 2004, after a long illness. She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on January 31, 1936, the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Blackman) Johnson and had been a resident for most of her life in the Manchester and Bedford Communities. Sara was employed with the Merrimack School Department for 15 years and Bee Bee Shoe for 25 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She held memberships with the Workmen's Club, the Davignon Club and the Eagles Club. IN HER LIFE she was a devoted Elvis Presley fan and was a friend to many. Family members includes four sons, James Bobo, Jr. of Weare, NH, Roger Bobo, Robert Shatney and David Shatney, Jr., two daughters, Tammy Bobo and Amy Shatney, all of Manchester, 16 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three brothers, Joseph Gagnon, Frank Gagnon, both of Manchester and Harry Gagnon of Allenstown, NH, three sisters, Elizabeth Michaud, Peggy Gagnon, both of Manchester and Kelly Kubicki of Massachusetts, many nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funerl Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Joseph Cathedral.
