SARAH M. WHITE HOOKSETT, NH – Sarah "Pat" Mullen White, 96, of 41 Welkin Ring, in Hooksett, died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Epsom Healthcare Center, in Epsom, NH. Born in Manchester, NH on August 1, 1912, she was the daughter of the late James and Sarah (Keough) Mullen and a resident of Hooksett since 1970. A graduate of Manchester West High School and Keene Teacher's College she taught 2nd grade in the Manchester School system for 25 years. Sarah was an avid square, round and ballroom dancer. She also belonged to the Granite State Cloggers and enjoyed golf and bowling. At one time, she appeared at the Palace Theatre with Jack Smart from New York. She was a member of the Hooksettites, the Manchester Woman's Club, and the Manchester retired Educators Association. Both she and her husband shared the position of past president of the Heel and Toe Square Dance Club. Mrs. White was an active woman, often seen walking near her home or enjoying an evening out dancing with friends. She loved entertaining the family. She was a communicant of St. Catherine's Church, in Manchester. Family members include; her 2 sons, Donald E. White, Jr., and Richard F. White, both of NH; 1 daughter, Kathleen (White) Cody, of FL; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful wife to Donald E. White, Sr., who died in 1990. IN HER LIFE: In addition, other family members include; her daughter-in-law, Janet White of NH; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Cody, of FL. SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday, August 21, from 8:00 – 10:00 A.M. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. at St. Catherine Church, Webster Street, in Manchester. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, in Goffstown.
