Nashua, NH

Scott Allan DeFreitas, 52, of Nashua, New Hampshire passed away on June 13, 2024, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

The youngest son of Ronald and Linda (Souza) DeFreitas, Scott was born in Nashua, NH on August 19, 1971. Currently, he was employed by Siemens Healthineers as a highly successful Commodities Manager. Scott was proud to have achieved an associate degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition. He received his MicroMasters from MIT for Supply Chain Dynamics. Scott served as President of the NH Chapter of the Institute for Supply Management. While employed by Hypertherm, Scott was active in the local community and received the 2015 Community Heroes Award for his volunteer work at Upper Valley Haven which provides temporary shelter and educational programming for homeless families and adults.

Scott thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at his children’s schools and with their various activities. He coached many seasons of flag football for his son Jack’s team and he shared his love of music, football and working out with him. He was a proud "Crew Dad" for his daughter Rose and loved watching her regattas and escorting her to Daddy-Daughter dances. Scott loved his children deeply and was so incredibly proud of them in every way.

With a passion for body building, Scott was a competitive bodybuilder in his younger years. He entered competitions throughout New England, winning a NH event in 1990 and placing second in a 1991 event in Maine. He was also the personal trainer for the Miss New Hampshire USA 1996 winner, Julie Gleneck and most recently for his cousin, Jason DeFreitas, who plans to compete in his first event this August.

Scott had a profound sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with extended family and the love of his life, Pamela and her children. He loved to cook for anyone and everyone. As an avid traveler, he loved going to the beach as often as he could with Pam and the kids. The beach was their happy place and Scottie always had the best tan! During the last 3 years, Scott and Pam have enjoyed traveling all over including several trips to Florida and the Bahamas. He also loved going to comedy shows and cared deeply about the well-being of his family and friends.

Scott Allan DeFreitas, is survived by his parents, Ronald and Linda DeFreitas of Nashua, NH; brother, Robert DeFreitas of Merrimack, NH; son, Jack DeFreitas of Concord, NH; daughter, Rose DeFreitas of Concord, NH; their mother, Emily Parker of Concord, NH; partner, Pamela Missner and her two children, Alexis and Max of Nashua, NH as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
