Serafino J. Turilli

Mr. Serafino J. "Chuck" Turilli, 94, of Dover, NH died November 12, 2008 at Riverside Rest Home in Dover surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 15, 1913 in L'Aquila, Italy, the son of the late Remo and Concetta (Melone) Turilli. He was a resident of Dover for many years. Chuck worked for Local 1042 of the Painters Union where he was a business agent and financial secretary. He was an avid pool player. In high school he was on the track team. Chuck had also been an amateur boxer. He was proudest of his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were the love of his life. Surviving families members include his wife of 50 years, Doris (Jodoin) Turilli of Dover; son, Carl Turilli of Melrose, MA; 5 daughters, Constance Salerno of Holbrook, MA, Suzanne Turilli of Wakefield, MA, Charlotte Andreotti of Peabody, MA, Cheryl Labore of Manchester, NH and Janice Bingham of Dover, NH; brother, Raymond Turilli of Massachusetts; many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many nephews, many nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Serafino Turilli Jr. who died on August 10, 2003. His Memorial Gathering will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM with a prayer service at 6:00PM.
