Sharon F. Baker, 82, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Born on June 25, 1943, in Miami, FL, Sharon was the daughter of the late Charles D. Fisher and Winifred H. Reardon.
Sharon grew up in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She attended Haverhill High School where she was a cheerleader and member of the National Honor Society. Sharon was a proud graduate of Bates College, where she met her loving husband, Russell Baker, and made many lifelong friends. Sharon and Russ raised their family in East Granby, Connecticut, where she was a long time employee of the Hartford Insurance Company and active in the East Granby Congregational Church. After retirement, Sharon and Russ moved to Lake Winnisquam, New Hampshire, where they spent time with friends, travelled widely, and adopted their beloved Havanese, Bosco.
Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Russell; their two daughters, Allison and Kristin; five cherished grandchildren: Avery, Corinne, Claire, William, and Owen; two sons-in-law: Seth Mangum and Matthew Sullivan; and three grand-dogs: Olly, Iris, and Bella who loved her beyond reason.
A Celebration of Her Life will take place at the Pine Grove Cemetery Mausoleum, 765 Brown Ave, Manchester, NH on Friday, April 24 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Sharon’s memory.
