Sharon M. Titus passed away on July 21, 2026, at the Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield, NH. She was born at Woodsville Hospital on January 27, 1945, the daughter of Herman and E. Norma Titus.
Sharon attended elementary school at Blue School in Landaff and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1963. She was a member of the Glee club, the girls’ basketball team, the National Honor Society, and the Yearbook staff. She was also a member of Mt. Hope Grange, the Mt. Hope Grange drill team, the Methodist Youth Fellowship, the 4-H, and the Rainbow Girls during high school.
During high school, Sharon spent one summer working at Polly's Pancake Parlor and two summers as a nurse's aide at Littleton Regional Hospital which led to her decision to pursue a career in nursing. She attended and graduated from the New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Boston, MA. in 1966. Sharon's career included one year at the Joslin clinic, two years at the New England Deaconess Hospital, and four years at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital's surgical unit in Boston, MA. She then re-located to California and worked three years in surgery at Century City Hospital, before taking a position as Assistant Coordinator of the Cardiovascular-Thoracic Operating Room Suite at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for 5 years.
Sharon moved back to her hometown of Landaff, NH in 1981. She had a house built on land, that was part of the Titus farm and spent the next 25 years working in surgery at Littleton Regional Healthcare, retiring in 2005.
Sharon loved to read, spend time with family and friends, and travel. She enjoyed trips to Bermuda, a two-week cruise in the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, England, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Germany, France, a cruise on the QE2, and trips to many US states including a cross-country car excursion.
Sharon is predeceased by her parents, her sister-in-law Lisa Titus and nephew, Scott Clark.
Sharon is survived by her brother, Jerry Titus; three cousins- Linda and Robert Clark, Franklin and Sima Reed, and Raymond Chase; two nieces and their families- Cathy, Michael, Dylan and Mason Colby and Lauren, Matthew, Owen, Anna and Nora Daube; a nephew Matthew Titus and Scott's family, Stacey, Kaitlyn and Nicholas Clark; and good friends Ben and Melissa Peters and family, Becca, Teran and Travis.
A graveside service and burial will be held a the Landaff Cemetery at a later date.
Assisting the family with arrangements is Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium.
