Sheldon L. Hassett, 83, of Concord, NH, died February 20, 2006, in Concord Hospice House. He was born in Keene, NH, on August 31, 1922, the son of the late Leonard and Ruth (Sheldon) Hassett, and had been a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Hassett served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was the widower of Natalie (Phillips) Hassett who died in 1989. Sheldon was a very caring and giving person. He loved trains, old cars and sailing. He was an excellent woodmaker. Family members include two daughters; Kimberly Hassett-Hunter of Concord, NH and Shelly Maine of Mont Vernon, NH, a grandson, Anthony, two brothers; Leonard Hassett of Windham, NH and Ennis Hassett, a foster brother, John Edsall, several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no visiting hours. SERVICES: Relatives and friends are welcomed to committal service with Military Honors, on Friday afternoon at 3 O'clock in the NH State Veteran Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Rte. 3, Boscawen, NH.
