Sherry Ann Magoon Bovee, 65, passed on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at home with loving family around. She was born on October 4, 1958 to Calvin and Betty Magoon.
She grew up in New Hampshire, but shortly after moved to California, then Nevada. Sherry worked at Freightliner in Reno, Nevada for many years before moving back to New Hampshire. She then put in many years working for the State of NH, most being in the title bureau as a title examiner.
When in Nevada she participated in the Rocky Mountain Oyster Cook Off. She did this many years with her dear friend Penny Overton. Here in New Hampshire she enjoyed going to Foxwoods with her partner in crime Stamie Guerra. Stamie was also instrumental in getting her to cancer treatments in Boston. Sherry was also more than happy to coordinate the “Sunshine Fund” and “Operation Santa”, shopping and contributing some of her own money to the cause. Her favorite pastime was attending as many sporting events for her grandson Garett, whom she often referred to as “my boy”, as she could, including his Jr Black Belt in June. She was kind and loving to all, but gave the most to being a loving mother and grammy. To us she was a Laundy Whisperer, taxi driver, dogsitter, and most of all irreplaceable. Above all she was a wonderful woman who will be missed more than words.
Along with her parents, Calvin and Betty, she was predeceased by her sisters, Shirley Wheeler of Bow, Doris Garnett and Debbie Kelly, both of concord; brother, George Magoon of Cranston, RI; former husband, Jeff Bovee of Oceanside, and son-in-law, Brad Bell of Webster.
She is survived by her daughter, Nichole Bovee-Bell of Webster; grandson, Garett Bell of Webster; sister, Beverly Chase and her husband Larry of Bow; brother, Calvin Magoon and his wife Pam of Concord; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
