Shirley S. Brill

Shirley Swift Brill of Concord, NH, died peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the glorious age of 99 years.

She was born in Des Moines, the daughter of Jack and Rhea Steinberg, and grew up in Chicago with her brothers, Earl and Morden. She was married to Marty Brill for 55 years, and they lived in Pittsburgh, Monroeville, and DuBois, Pennsylvania. Shirley worked as an administrative assistant, and after retirement became an active volunteer for OASIS, the Veterans Administration, Literacy Volunteers, the American Cancer Society, and the Allegheny County Library. She participated in the Silver Sneakers program and enjoyed socializing with her many friends everywhere she lived.

She was predeceased by her husband, her infant son Edward Stuart, her grandson Brian Langstaff, and her parents and brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Amy Rafferty of Concord, NH, and Nancy Langstaff and husband Gary Weinstein of Selden, NY; her son Dan Brill and wife Penny of Aspinwall, PA; her granddaughters Erin Langstaff, Anna Brill, and Katie Brill; and several nieces and nephews.
