Shirley M. Vaillancourt

Shirley M. (Hoyt) Vaillancourt, 70, of 295 Lowell St. died September 8, 2000 at Maple Leaf Health Care Center. She was born in Manchester on September 2, 1930, the daughter of the late Charles and May Hoyt and had been a lifelong resident of the city. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Cathedral. Family members include her husband of 25 years, Roger Vaillancourt, her son, Michael Becker of Manchester; three grandchildren; a brother, Wendell Hoyt of Manchester; four sisters, Grace Philibot, Sadie Zyla, Cynthia Farnsworth and Eleanor Hoyt all of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Chapel of St. Joseph Cathedral. Urn burial will follow in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101, Unit 501, Bedford, NH 03110. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
