Silvio J. Cin, 90, of Hinsdale, NH passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2014 with his family and friends by his side. He was born in Summit Hill, PA on May 5, 1924, the son of the late, John and Maria (Gavasso) Cin.
Silvio served his Country with the U.S. Air Force during WWII as a Radio Operator Mechanic and Aerial Gunner. He was part of 23 missions and flew bomber planes during D Day. He was employed as a cashier supervisor at PSE&G in NJ for many years until his retirement. Silvio enjoyed playing golf, attending horse races, and traveled throughout the world with his wife, Josephine. He will be best remembered by his family as a devoted husband, and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Josephine Cin of Hinsdale, NH; a daughter, Linda Harke and her partner Charles Gilbeau, Sr. of Hinsdale; a son, John Cin and his wife Denise of Midlothian, VA; six grandchildren, Valerie Moore and her fiancé Amos Girard, John Harke, Christopher Cin, Philip Cin, Jonathan Cin, and Angela McMasters; and seven great grandchildren, Desjah, Lucas, Olivia, Rebecca, Christopher, Jr., Cole and Gavin.
A Celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Hinsdale Community Center, 19 Main St, Hinsdale, NH at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice @ HCS, 312 Marlboro St., Keene, NH 03431.
