Simone E. (Fortin) Guevin, age 97, of Manchester, NH passed away on January 15, 2010 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Louis Tremblay and Rene Guevin. She was born on October 19, 1912 in Manchester, NH, daughter of the late Louis and Melanie (Beaumier) Fortin. She was the last surviving sibling of 15. Simone had an extensive career in food services as a waitress. She worked for the Carpenter Hotel, the 88 Restaurant, the Manchester Country Club, Porter�s Steakhouse and most recently for St. Anselm�s College. She retired at the age of 85. IN HER LIFE: She is survived by two sons: Roger Tremblay and his wife Louise of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, Maurice Tremblay and his wife Elaine; a daughter in law: Linda Tremblay; 6 grandchildren: Mychelle, Anne-Marie, Francis, Robert, Cassandre, Lance and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Raymond �Al Ray� Tremblay. We wish to thank the staff and volunteers at the Mount Carmel Nursing Home for the first-rate care and attention given to our mother during the last 8 years. We also wish to acknowledge the staff for ensuring the comfort and well-being of visiting family members during the last week of her life. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 10:30am in the St. Anthony of Padua Church, 172 Belmont Street, Manchester, NH with burial to follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery, Manchester, NH. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 19th from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer�s Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
