Simone (Barthomeuf) Nadeau, 88, formerly of 134 Blaine Street and 59 West River Drive, died June 13, 2006 at Harborside Healthcare Center in Bedford. She was born in France on November 29, 1917, the daughter of Adrien and Angela (Deballe) Barthomeuf and had been a Manchester resident since 1946. She was the widow of Alfred Nadeau who died in 1988. She has worked as a nursed aide at Hillsborough County Nursing Home. She had also worked as a cook in the rectory at St. Raphael Church for many years. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Raphael Church and had been a member of the Ladies Guild. She belonged to the Society of the Miraculous Medal and the Passionist Missionaries. Family members include several nephews, nieces and cousins in France and many friends and acquaintances in Manchester. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Friday morning from 8:30 to 10:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 in St. Raphael Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
