Simone S. Turgeon, 90, of Manchester, died June 30, 2003, at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Manchester on May 31, 1913, the daughter of Edouard and Demerise (Tanguay) Simoneau and had been a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She was the widow of Roland M. Turgeon who died in 2000. Simone worked many years for J. F. McElwain Corp. She was a parishioner of Ste. Marie Church and belonged to St. Anne Sodality of that parish. Mrs. Turgeon was a member of the American Legion, Jutras Post Women Auxiliary. Family members include two daughters; Claudette "Toni" Vachon and Ruth Poisson, both of Manchester, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 o'clock. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Ste. Marie Church on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
