Simonne M. Fortin

Simonne M. (Cote) Fortin, 88, of Goffstown, died April 19, 2009 at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Manchester on May 9, 1920, the daughter of Esdras and Febronie (Toupin) Cote and had been a lifelong resident of the Manchester area. She was a parishioner of the Parish of the Transfiguration. She was predeceased by a daughter, Laurette Fortin who died in 2005. Family members include her husband of 68 years, Laurent Fortin; two sons, Rene Fortin of Manchester and Richard Fortin of Snowville; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Rita Couture of FL and Cecile Mercier of Manchester and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM in the Parish of the Transfiguration. Committal services will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Goffstown Fire and Rescue Association, 18 Church St., Goffstown, NH 03045 or to the Goffstown Police Association, 326 Mast Road, Goffstown, NH 03045.
