Simonne L. Morrissette

Simonne L. Morrissette – Manchester, NH Age 84 of Hooksett, died Thursday January 12th at St. Teresa’s in Manchester. She was born in Manchester on May 31, 1921 the daughter of Henry and Clerinda (Guimond) Janelle. She was raised and educated in Manchester. She had been a resident of Hooksett for over 50 years. She was a longtime communicant of St. George Church in Manchester. She had worked for many years in the shoe industry in the greater Manchester Area. She had also volunteered her time at the South Hooksett Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. She had spent many years as a volunteer at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home. While a resident at St. Teresa’s, she always looked forward to playing BINGO with the other residents. She was an avid baseball fan, who loved the Boston Red Sox. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her 2 grandchildren. She is survived by her Son Norman R. Morrissette and his wife Margaret D. of Hooksett. 2 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. Calling hours are Sunday January 15th from 3-6:00PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematory 243 Hanover Street Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday January 16th at 9:00AM at St. Catherine Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
