Stanley Frank "Bud" Butler, 83, of Nashua, NH, died June 11, 2009 at the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington, MA. He was born on September 3, 1925, the son of Stanley and Matilda (Oberchurcher) Butler and had been a NH resident for over thirty years. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart. For most of his career, he was a car salesman and had retired from Dobles Chevrolet in Manchester, NH. He was also a private tennis instructor for over 20 years and was actively involved with the AA Program for 43 years. He will be missed by those he helped and all who loved him Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Barbara (Lynch) Butler; a son, Paul Butler and his wife Audra of Litchfield, NH; five daughters, Faye Hale and her husband Robert, and Lorraine Loring and he husband Tim all of Newburyport, MA, Kathleen Barlow and her husband Brad of Milford, NH, Tara Flora and her husband Kirk of Eagle Mountain, UT and Debbie Miller of Merrimack, NH; 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; two sisters, Fay Begley of West Point, GA, and his twin sister Merle Dougherty and her husband Wilber of Newbury, NH; and nephews, nieces and cousins. A Life Celebration service will take place on Thursday at 11:00 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints, 110 Concord St., Nashua, NH (next to Greely Park). Committal services with military honors will take place on Thursday at 3:00 PM in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
