Stanley Joseph Furgal, Jr, 75, of Merrimack NH, passed away peacefully in his home on May 6, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Manchester, NH on August 17, 1942, the son of the late Mildred (Veilleux) (Pare) and Stanley Joseph Furgal, Sr. He graduated from Manchester West High School and worked at Jac Pac Foods, Budd Foods and retired from AutoFair Ford. He was a wonderful husband, son, brother and a strong father figure, with a kind heart, to many in his blended family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen Furgal (Goulart), who cared for him through sickness and health. He was a loving father to his children, April Dempsey and her husband Chip of Clermont, FL, Tracy Flanagan and her husband John of Raymond, NH, and Tonya Carroll of Amherst, NH; a loving step-father to Thomas Piotrowski, Kimberly Rosmus and her husband Christopher, Shirley Bourke, Gene Rosa, Steven Rosa, Kevin Rosa and his wife Julie. He joins his twin brother, Raymond, in Heaven and leaves behind siblings Robert Furgal and his wife Lucille of Merrimack, NH, Judith Lisofsky (Furgal) of Manchester, NH and Ronald Furgal of Bedford, NH. He was blessed with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and life-long friends.
He loved watching all Boston sports teams, playing cards, dancing, playing horseshoes and he was happiest when surrounded by family for holidays and barbeques.
Services will be Thursday, May 10th, with a gathering from 9-10am and a memorial service at 10am at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03104. Family and friends are invited to attend.
