LITTLETON, NH Stella I. Cryans, age 87, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2008 at the Lafayette Center in Franconia.
Stella was born on September 2, 1920 in West Broughton, Canada, the daughter of William and Annie (Maguire) Cryans. She was raised on a farm with her large family of 5 brothers, 3 sisters, and her parents. She attended school in her home town and as a young adult she moved to the states and lived with her sister, Mary Jane Jennie Cryans in Littleton. She also lived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a number of years. While in Littleton, she worked in Libbys Clothing Store, where she was well-known.
Surviving family members include one brother, Andrew Cryans of Littleton, NH; two sisters, Ethel Boucard and Berniece Kozyra of Wethersfield, CT; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Francis, Elmer, Lawrence, and Edward, as well as three sisters, Mary Jane Jennie, Loretta, and Thelma.
SERVICES A Calling hour will be held on Sunday, September 7th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home located at 101 Union Street in Littleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 8th at 11:30 a.m. in the St. Rose of Lima Church with Rev. Fr. Andrew Cryans as Celebrant.
