Stephen Salisbury Brooks, 73, of Litchfield, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2024. He is the loving husband of Pamela J. (Laskey) Brooks with whom he has shared over 47 years of marriage.
Stephen was born on September 4, 1950 in Summit, New Jersey to the late Robert and Nancy Brooks. He grew up in North Jersey and is a graduate of Villanova University Class of 1972. Eventually Steve accepted a job in Maine where he met the love of his life, Pamela Laskey. Together they lived in several different states, most notably living in Alaska for 25 years, before moving to New Hampshire to be closer to their family.
A humble man with many accolades, Stephen was an accomplished engineer and held a very low API number. He was the former President of Enterprise Engineering Inc and helped open several different branches including firms in Alaska, Hawaii, and San Diego. Steve loved the opportunities that his career awarded him to travel worldwide. Upon moving back to New Hampshire, Steve and his wife bought a lake house in Gilmanton bringing his family together to make lifelong memories. Along with being a brilliant engineer and family man, Steve was an avid gardener, a great cook, a natural-born teacher, and had a passion for music.
Along with his wife Pamela, Stephen is survived by his daughter Amber MacDonald and her husband Rick of Litchfield; his beloved grandchildren, Blake Novotney, Jarrod MacDonald, Tayln Robert Novotney, Jaya Nance Novotney, and Cassy MacDonald; siblings, Joanne Kinscherf, Jeffrey Brooks, and Kathy Silverman; and his adored cat, Kona.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 13 th from 1-3pm at The Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue in Manchester. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
