Stephen Michael Hare, 46, died Friday, May 31st, 2024, at Mass General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He was born on June 20th, 1977, in Littleton, NH, the son of Phillip Hare and Bonnie Kilkenny (Mardin). He was the loving life partner of Melody Champagne since November 29th, 1996 (27.5 years).
Steve was a talented carpenter, specializing in building log homes. His craftsmanship and dedication to his work were evident to all who knew him. He worked for Aurora Log Homes on and off for over 25 years, helping make people's dreams come true.
Steve led a life full of adventure and creativity. His bright and witty personality made him a joy to be around, and his friendly nature endeared him to many. In his free time, Steve enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, cooking, and creating art. These hobbies allowed him to express his love for the outdoors and his creative spirit. He was an excellent cook, and even met some famous chefs. Steve also had a love for music, and loved to sing, although many may not know that about him. He listened to all genres, but his all-time favorite bands were Pink Floyd and Rush. Steve had a love for animals, having many pets throughout his lifetime, leaving behind his three dogs Cookie, Terrain, and Bean, and an African Grey Parrot, Gracie.
Steve is predeceased by his grandmother, Shirley Rice, uncle, Greg Mardin, aunt, Terry, and his cousin, Ricky Mardin.
Steve is survived by his life partner, Melody Champagne, his daughters, Elizabeth and Jada Hare, his father, Phillip Hare, his mother, Bonnie Kilkenny, granddaughter, Harlow, three half-brothers, Chris, Jason, and Tony, a half-sister, Mistina, uncles, Rick and Russel Mardin, his aunt, Cindy, and many cousins.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May Steve's adventurous spirit and warm personality continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 793 Main St, Bethlehem, NH 03574 on Sunday, June 23rd from 12:00p.-3:00pm. All are welcomed to come and pay their respects to this wonderful man and his family.
