Stephen Raymond Vertigans

Stephen R. Vertigans, Sr., age 55, passed away suddenly on December 1, 2009 in Tilton, NH. Born Feb. 12, 1954, in Belfast, N. Ireland. He moved to the United States at the age of 10, and grew up in Dracut, MA. Stephen graduated from nursing school in 1992, and had been employed at the VA hospital in Bedford, MA, and Greenbriar Terrace in Nashua, NH. Beloved husband of Marion(Brown)Vertigans, husband of 35 years, Son-in-law of Dorothy Marchildon. Father of sons David, Andrew(Nicole McBride), and Matthew(Janet Hall) Vertigans all of Manchester, and Stephen Jr. and Jonathan(Angelia Phillips)Vertigans of Merrimack, NH, and Brett(Ryan) Winsper of Methuen, MA. Father of daughters Kerry Riedy of Merrimack, Stephanie Trow(Michael) of Manchester, Amanda Tardiff & her husband Adam of Hudson, NH, Andrea Vertigans of Tilton, NH and Sharon Vertigans of Nashua, NH. and predeceased by daughter Angela Howard. Grandfather of Devin Bourque of Lowell, MA., Justice Vertigans of Amesbury, MA, Hannah Riedy, Alyssa and Aidan McCord of Merrimack, Olyvia, Lauryn, Makenna and Zachary Trow of Manchester, Alanna Tardiff of Hudson, Makaela of Melrose, MA, Stephen III, Jacob, and Athena Vertigans of Nashua, Caleb Vertigans of Merrimack, Andrew and Colin Vertigans of Manchester and Kendra, Alexis & Justin Winsper of Methuen, Ma Brother Peter, and sisters Angela Nichol of Scotland and Sharon Service of Belfast, N. Ireland. Predeceased by youngest brother Colin Vertigans. Graveside Service to be held Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst St., Nashua, NH at 12 noon.
