Steve Y. Labbe

Steve Y, Labbe, 62 Greenview Dr., died January 16, 2001 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester, the son of Aime and Charlotte (Poulin) Labbe and had been a lifelong resident of the City. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He had worked in sales throughout his career. He coached various youth sports in the Manchester area. He loved boxing and fought in the New England Golden Gloves. He enjoyed playing the piano and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Family members include his mother of Manchester; his wife, Vivian (Bourgeois) Labbe of 45 years; two sons, Steve M. Labbe of Dunbarton and Dennis Labbe of Manchester; two daughters, Mrs. Ted (Susan) Foster of Manchester and Mrs. Jeff (Catherine) Abbott of Deering; seven grandchildren; and nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours are at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 in St. Catherine Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
