Steven Dennis Buckner

Steven Dennis Buckner, Sr., 64, of Manchester, NH, died April 19, 2004, at Catholic Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on February 8, 1940, the son of the late Raymond and Geraldine (James) Buckner and lived in Milford, NH before moving to Manchester 12 years ago. Steven was a US Navy Veteran. He was a printer for most of life and was a night manager for Allied Security. IN HIS LIFE he loved to cook and enjoyed camping at Pine Acres in Raymond, NH. Mr. Buckner loved his dog Toby and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his eight grandchildren; Joseph DeMauro, Nina DeMauro and Nicholas DeMauro, Ethan Buckner, Christopher Buckner, James Buckner, Jr., Nicholas Buckner and Brittany Buckner, his daughter-in-law Mrs. Timothy (Kathy) Buckner of Morrison, CO. Family members include his wife of 40 years, Beatrice (Pocchia) Buckner of Manchester, three sons, Timothy Buckner of Morrison, Co., Steven Buckner of Pompano, Fl., and James Buckner of New Jersey, a daughter, Mrs. Mario (Liza) DeMauro of Enfield, CT., eight grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, on Friday afternoon from 1 to 3 O’clock with the service immediately following at 3 in the funeral home chapel. Donations may be made to the Murphy Ward, CMC Hospital, 100 McGregor Street, Manchester, NH 03102.
