Susan Gulezian

Susan Swenson Gulezian, 70, passed away in the early morning of February 7, 2022 at her home in Manchester, NH with her husband of 26 years, Richard, by her side. She was born on the Fourth of July 1951 in Concord, N.H., to the late Robert and Pauline Swenson.

Sue grew up in Concord, New Hampshire, the eldest of three children and graduated from Concord High School’s Class of 1969. She attended Champlain College, then continued her education at the University of New Hampshire graduating in 1983 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English.

In her youth, Sue traveled the country extensively. Visiting Yosemite National Park, white water rafting in Colorado, even giving sky diving a go. For many years Sue resided in the Boston area and worked for Bingham, Dana and Gould. She returned to the Granite State in the early 1990s and joined Chubb Life, now Lincoln Financial, in Concord, N.H., and remained at the company until her passing.

On May 18, 1996, she married Richard Gulezian. Together they created a life rich in art and music: enjoying musical theatre at the Ogunquit Playhouse, concerts and museum visits in Boston, enjoying off season getaways in Wellfleet at Cape Cod, bird watching and hiking in the great outdoors, and hosting gatherings of families and friends. They were always surrounded by their beloved Yorkies and later Maltese including Lily, who remained by Sue’s side throughout her last days.

Sue’s vibrant legacy will bloom each year in her beautiful garden, as well as her being remembered through her photography, a passion she shared with her husband, and will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; her brothers, Eric and John; sisters-in-law, Nancy and Robin; nieces, Lindsey, Courtney, Maria, Elyse and nephews, Tom, George, Casey and their loved ones, and her very large extended family.
