Susan M. Lanza, 69, of Goffstown, died April 13, 2008 at home after a brief illness.
She was born in 1939, in Yugoslavia, to Theresa (Leffler) and John Mettler. She immigrated to NY at the age of 13. She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas School, Bronx, NY.
She married Joseph V. Lanza in 1958 until his death in 1995. She worked for over 35 yrs for the NY Telephone Company, until her retirement in 2000. Susan moved from New York City to Passaic, NJ. in 1984 and then moved to Goffstown in 2003.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In Her Life: She is survived by 4 sons and their wives, Joseph and Judi Lanza of Goffstown, John and Denise Lanza of South Setauket, NY, Richard and Christine Lanza of Elmwood Park, Il, and Michael Lanza and his girlfriend Susan of Port Orange, Fl, and 7 grandchildren.
Calling hours are on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30AM at St Clare Church in Clifton. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
