Suzanne Lise Lankford

Suzanne Lise Lankford, 73, of Goffstown, NH, passed away at Elliot Hospital on December 20, 2021. Born in Scottstown, Quebec, Canada on November 22, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Alphe and Alice (Goudreau) Tremblay. She shared 10 years of marriage with her late husband, James Lankford.

Suzanne spent her childhood in Berlin, NH and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. She was a Berlin resident for many years and raised her sons, Randy and Carey there. She later moved to Florida and resided in the Tampa Bay area for nearly 20 years before moving back to New Hampshire. Suzanne was a kindhearted, loving, and compassionate person. She enjoyed her work caring for those unable to do so for themselves. She worked many years in home healthcare, nursing homes, and instead of retiring, she went on to work as a school bus monitor. She also enjoyed travel and spent time voyaging places both inside and outside of the US. She adored spending time with her family; her siblings, children, grandchildren and her pets, usually small dogs, attending to them passionately.

Suzanne is survived by her sons, Randy Girouard and his wife Sandra of Irondale, AL, and Carey Girouard and his wife Lisa of Thornton, NH; her siblings, George Tremblay and his wife Jeanne of Corpus Christi, TX, Danielle Morin and her husband Laurent of Goffstown, NH, Alain Tremblay and his wife Mariette of Manchester, NH, and Richard Tremblay of San Antonio, TX; her grandchildren, Ryan Cox, Jarod Girouard, Declan Girouard, Atticus Girouard, and Maslan Girouard; her local nephews, David Morin and his wife Kristin of York, ME, and Peter and Bob Tremblay of Manchester, NH; as well as several other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 with a gathering from 2-4PM and a memorial service at 4PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
