SYBIL (SPENCER) NORTON
SUGAR HILL, NH -- Sybil (Spencer) Norton, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at her home, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Norton was born in Arlington, MA on March 28, 1919, a daughter to Allard and Olive (Bullock) Spencer. She was raised in Winchester, MA; graduating from Winchester High School.
Sybil was married to the late William A. Norton in 1941 and with her husband and family had lived in Sugar Hill since 1949. She was an avid gardener and reader, serving as a trustee of the Richardson Memorial Library for many years. With a deep commitment to community service, Sybil was a volunteer at the Littleton Hospital with over 2000 hours of service.
Sybil is survived by a son, W. Andrew Norton of Campton; two daughters, Terry Wilkins of North Andover, MA and Laurie Meiners of Basalt, CO; a grandson, 4 granddaughters, and 2 great-granddaughters.
SERVICES -- A Memorial Service will be held at the Sugar Hill Community Church on Route 117 in Sugar Hill on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.
