Manchester, NH – Sylvia R. Mooney, 80, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2005, Concord, NH, after a brief illness. Born in Herkimer, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph and Esther (Epstein) Ruff and had resided in Manchester, NH most of her life with her husband J. Harry Mooney of Manchester, NH. For several years, she worked for St. Aubin Associates and Weston Associates advertising agencies until her retirement. A devoted wife and mother, Sylvia is survived by 2 daughters, Lynne Evarts and Barbara Weston, both of Manchester, her sister, Betty Stoll of Buffalo, New York, several nieces, nephews and cousins. IN HER LIFE: She enjoyed her 2 granddaughters, Elizabeth Evarts of Bedford and Stephanie Weston of Manchester. Other surviving relatives include 1 Great-granddaughter, Justine Denbow of Manchester. An independent and loving woman, she always kept an open home to anyone and never lost her quick wit and sense of humor. Memorial Reception and Service will be held Friday, May 13, 2005, from 12 to 1 pm with the service at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Ferry Street, Suite 427B, Concord, NH 03301 in memory of Sylvia Mooney.
