Teri Lyn (Prince) Jobes, 55, of Manchester, NH passed away unexpectedly at home on January 11, 2021.
She was born on August 26, 1965 in Nashua, NH, she was the daughter of the late Richard Prince and the late Louise (Gagnon) Twardosky. Teri was raised in Derry, NH and was a 1984 graduate of Pinkerton Academy. After high school, she joined the US Army as a medic. During her time in the Army she was honored with several awards as a proficient marksman. When her time in the Army ended, she started the next chapter in life with the birth of her son Corey Hills in 1989 and daughter Jade "JJ" Hills in 1990. In 1996 Teri relocated to Central Florida and met Joseph Jobes, her husband and soulmate.
Teri attended Northern Essex Community College for her nursing degree. She was a nurse for several years, and also worked part time as a waitress for many years. Since she was such a "people person" she enjoyed both careers very much. For several years, while in Florida, she also had a daily paper delivery job with her husband, which they loved doing together. After relocating back home to New England in 2017, she worked full time for Catholic Charities in Massachusetts, in a women's homeless shelter. She mainly worked the overnight shift, which was perfect for her since she has always been a "night owl." This job was very important to her especially being able to connect with women in need and provide support and comfort. She is greatly missed by staff and guests.
Anyone close to Teri knew she had an incredible spirit of giving and a way of doing everything she could to make people feel special. She knew just what to say or do, even just a card or note or simple gesture right when someone needed it most. She had a knack for making the smallest or grandest gesture feel so wonderful.
In her spare time, one of her greatest loves was cooking and baking, either on her own or with her husband, who was a chef for many years. She was the "MacGyver" of cooking/creating a meal. You could give her a box, can, package of anything and she would make an incredible dish, out of random ingredients and her amazing cooking talent. She was known for making homemade Chinese food and seafood, better than any restaurant! Every time there was a party or gathering, she would bring her famous macaroni salad and potato salad, both were out of this world. She loved pets and owned many during her lifetime and truly enjoyed her furry friends. Most recently she had 2 cats name "Tootsie" and "Gracie" who will miss her terribly. She also enjoyed sewing and was a skilled seamstress, making her own wedding gown and bridal party dresses. Teri also loved shopping, along with nails, makeup, hair, wigs, shoes, anything girly/pretty/frilly. She never liked going to nail or beauty salons because she enjoyed doing it on her own much better. She especially loved anything pink (even her home decor and kitchen supplies). No other color existed to her - only pink!
Teri is survived by her husband Joseph Jobes, her son Corey Hills of Pembroke, NH, grandson Kadyn Mcfarlin, her sister Lori Ortiz and husband Gilberto of Manchester, NH, her sister Michelle Senecal of Manchester, NH, her brother Michael Twardosky of Nashua, NH, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other extended family.
Teri was predeceased by her precious daughter Jade Hills in 2017, mother Louise (Gagnon) Prince-Twardosky in 1993, father Richard Prince in 2011, and step-father Joseph Twardosky in 2009.
