THELMA SPREADBURY

LITTLETON, NH  Thelma Spreadbury, 89, passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, November 8, 2007.

Thelma was born on May 16, 1918, a daughter of Milton and Katherine (Marsh) Mooney. She graduated from Littleton High School and married Laurence Skip Spreadbury on December 15, 1945. Thelma was employed at Profile Cleaners as a secretary, as well as Norton Pike. She was a Red Cross volunteer during the war and laced moccasins for Henschel Shoe Company. She was also a cook and manager in the cafeteria at Littleton High School for many years.

Thelma loved working in her flower garden, sewing, knitting, reading, and doing puzzles, watching the wildlife and the birds around their home, and cooking Sunday and Holiday dinners. Everyone was always welcomed to their home where she made them feel right at home.

She is survived by her husband, Laurence S. Spreadbury of Littleton, NH, a son, David Spreadbury of North Haverhill, NH; two daughters, Diane McFarland and her husband, Gary of Bethlehem, NH; Debbie Boynton and her husband, Eddie of Littleton, NH; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Irene Little and Katherine Emmons, both of Franconia, NH. One daughter, Judy K. Cook of Groveton, NH predeceased her, as well as 2 brothers, Hollis Tom Mooney and Everett Mooney.

SERVICES  A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Marcel Martel officiating.
