Theresa A. (Nadeau) Britton, 86, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Villa Crest Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Suncook, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Corona (Desmarais) Nadeau. Theresa worked in the Manchester shoe factories for many years before she earned her certification as a nurse's aide. Theresa proudly dedicated herself to caring for ailing patients. She often volunteered at the local nursing homes in her spare time.
Theresa was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She also found great comfort and companionship in her many cats and dogs throughout the years. Before her illness she enjoyed fellowship at her local church. She will be best remembered for her kind heart and love of family.
Theresa is survived by her husband, Truman "Scotty" Britton; son, Richard Bouchard of Exeter; three daughters, Susan Haley and husband William of Goffstown, Lucille Cushing and husband William of Litchfield, and Diane Bolieau, wife of the late Paul Bolieau of Manchester; two step-sons, Roland Bouchard of IA, and Robert Bouchard of NH; one step-daughter, Annette O'Keefe of FL; five grandchildren, Kerry Tripp, Kimberly Bolieau, Cheryl Cushing, Angela Najem, and Keith Bouchard; five great grandchildren; several step grandchildren, one nephew Raymond Garon, and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was widowed by Armand Bouchard, and predeceased by her two brothers, Gerard and Edward Nadeau; sister, Dorothy Garon; and granddaughter, Lisa Haley.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Memorial Gathering will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave., Manchester, on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 4:00 to 6:00P.M. Friends and relatives invited. Theresa will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester, on Friday, Sept. 30 at 10:00A.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Theresa's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 166 S River Rd #210, Bedford, NH 03110. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Villa Crest for the wonderful care they provided Theresa over the past 9 years.
