Theresa J. (Durocher) Lawrence, 74, of 60 Front Street, Manchester, died July 27, 2003 at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Nashua on May 15, 1929, the daughter of Jean-Baptiste and Blanche (Messier) Durocher and had been a Manchester resident for over twenty years. She was a 1971 graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing and had worked as an LPN at CMC for many years before her retirement. She was a 32 year member of AA and was a mentor to many in the Program and had helped countless people on their road to recovery. She was also a Foster Grandmother for eight years at YDC and also worked in prison Ministries. She was a parishioner of the Parish of the Transfiguration. She was an avid knitter and crocheter. She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Lawrence who died in 1960 and by two grandchildren. Family members include her former husband, Roger Lawrence of Merrimack; two sons, Thomas Lawrence of Ogdensburg, NY and Gregory Lawrence of Windham; two daughters, Janine Lawrence-Winer of Dunbarton and Susan Merrill of Merrimack; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Yolande Marshall of Nashua and Paula Lavoie of Manchester; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. The Trisageon be conducted at the funeral home at 7:00 PM. A Liturgy will take place at Our Lady of the Cedars Church in Manchester on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
