Theresa M. (Caron) Phaneuf, 90, formerly of Manchester, died in Tucson, Arizona early Easter Sunday morning, April 12, 2009 after a brief period of illness.
In Her Life: She was born in Manchester on February 27, 1919, the daughter Lucinda Lamy and Anatole Caron, a well-known Manchester contractor. She had been a long-time resident of Manchester before moving to Arizona three and a half years ago to live with her daughters. She was the widow of Emile Phaneuf, her husband of 40 years, who predeceased her in 1982. She was the oldest of twelve children. She had been a parishioner of St. Anthony Church.
Family members include a son, Edward Phaneuf of Fort Myers, FL and Pittsburg, NH; two daughters, Doris Pierce and Claire Phaneuf, both of Tucson, AZ; four grandchildren, Lisa Bourrie, Holly Drew, Michael Pierce, Jennifer Pierce, and two great grandchildren: Tiffany Nelson, and Samantha Bourrie; one brother, Paul-Emile Caron of Manchester; four sisters, Rita Vezina and Juliette Hemond, both of Manchester, Madeleine Blake of Amherst and Pauline Beaudoin of CA; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 in St. Anthony Church. Committal services will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
