THERESE M. AUGER
GOFFSTOWN â Therese M. (Beland) Auger, 81, died on Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, in Goffstown.
Mrs. Auger was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec., on June 11, 1930, the daughter of the late Alexandre and Marie-Ange (Plante) Beland. She was a resident of Goffstown for the past year. Prior to this, she resided in Manchester since 1951.
She was employed as a stitcher for Windwood Sports Wear and later worked at Vagabond Leather. Mrs. Auger was also a volunteering for the Foster Grandparent Program. She worked with children at Bakersville School and later with the VNA.
Mrs. Auger was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and was active with volunteer in the church chapel. She was a member of the American Legion, Jutras Post, in Manchester.
Mrs. Auger enjoyed sewing and knitting and always enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Members of her family include her son Jean Pierre Auger and his wife, Nancy, of Buffalo, NY; three daughters, Pierrette Auger, Marie Stevens, Diane Prior and her boyfriend, Bob Tittemore, all of Manchester; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Leo Beland and his wife, Ellen, of Manchester; many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Daisy. Mrs. Auger was predeceased by her husband, Alphonse "Titou" Auger, who died in May 1980, also two sisters Jeannine and Violette.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 11, 10:00 AM, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm Street, in Manchester. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Manchester.
