Therese "Terry" L. (Dore) Desmarais, 88, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Villa Crest Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Rose Anna (Vachon) Dore. Raised and educated in Manchester, she had been employed as a cashier for many years at Champagne's Supermarket.
A devoted wife, daughter, sister, and aunt, Terry cared deeply for her family. In her earlier years, she and her late husband, Charlie, enjoyed square dancing. Terry had a passion for cooking and entertaining her family and friends. In her later years, her life centered around caring for her mother and, later, her sister as their health declined. An active communicant at Ste. Marie parish, Terry found great comfort in her faith. Terry will be best remembered for her generous heart and dedication to family.
Terry is survived by her niece, Elaine A. Willett & her husband Leonard of Auburn; nephew, Richard G. Cote & his wife Laura of Manchester; additional nieces and nephews; several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Terry was predeceased by her sister, Jeannette Monty; and her husband, Germain "Charlie" Desmarais, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Visitation will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave., Manchester, on Monday, August 3, from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Ste. Marie Parish, Notre Dame Ave., Manchester, on Tuesday, August 4 at 10:00 A.M. followed by committal service in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Terry's memory to the Friends of Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Rd., Manchester, NH 03102.
