Therese L. (Lachance) Lajoie, 95, of Manchester, died September 21, 2018 at Mount Carmel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester, NH on July 7, 1923 to the Late Adalbert and Cora (Beliveau) Lachance, she was a graduate of Central High School. She is predeceased by a brother, Robert Lachance, and a sister, Regina Lachance, and survived by a half-brother, Ronald Dubois of Olney, MD.
Therese married George Lajoie, also from Manchester, NH, in 1945, and they were married for 52 years until his death in 1997. She spent over twenty of those years supporting him in a number of different locations during his career with the U.S. Air Force. She worked in more than one profession during her lifetime, but most recently was employed by AIG before her retirement.
She is survived by her three children: Terri Holt of Krum, TX, George Lajoie and wife Monica Lajoie of Manchester, NH, Regina Wakeman and husband Philip Wakeman of Manchester, NH; six grandchildren: Michael LeComte, Lee Holt, Sophia Sheehan, Jeremy Lajoie, Melissa Grenier and Jonathan Grenier, as well as three great-grandchildren: Ava Grenier-Stevens, Elizabeth Sheehan and Thomas Grenier.
A funeral Mass will be held on October 5, 2018 at 9AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Manchester, NH, followed by interment in the New Hampshire Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
