Mrs. Therese (Blais) LaPlante, 90, of Manchester died June 24, 2010 at Hackett Hill Healthcare Center in Manchester. She was born on February 28, 1920 in Grand-Mere, Quebec, Canada the daughter of the late George and Marie (Houle) Blais. She was educated at St. Augustin School in Manchester. Terry was a longtime resident of Manchester. She had worked at Arms Textile and also at Daven Electronics. Terry was a member of the Association Canado Americaine and the Association des Dames de Ste. Anne. Mrs. LaPlante was a devout catholic and a communicant of Ste. Marie Parish in Manchester. She enjoyed bowling and socializing. Mrs. LaPlante is survived by her children, Rita Couture of Silverthorne, CO, Phyllis Loconte of Bristol, CT, Lucille Brousseau of Manchester, Robert LaPlante of Houston, TX , Gerard Laplante of Douglasville, GA and Richard LaPlante of Pinardville, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; brother, Bernard Blais of Manchester, sister, Yvette DesMeules of Manchester, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Louis P. LaPlante. In her Life: Terry was a loving mother. She was a very wise woman who got along with everyone. . She was extremely generous and always helped others. Terry will always be remembered as being down to earth person and for her straight forward honesty that endeared her to many. Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester on Sunday from 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00AM at Ste. Marie Church, Notre Dame Ave, Manchester. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
