Therese’ M. Lozeau, 85 year old Sister; Mother, Grandmother, Great Grand Mother and longtime resident of Manchester, NH, passed peacefully in her sleep on December 19, 2022.
She was the second child born to mother, Corrine and father, Joseph Helie and a loving younger sister. She is survived by her older sister, Larraine Byron. Orphaned at the age of 6 after both her parents passed unexpectedly, Therese’ and her sister Larraine grew up at St. Peter’s Orphanage on Kelly Street in Manchester until they were 18 years of age. Therese’ is a mother of 3, grandmother of 4, and great grandmother of 3. She was also a loving wife to her late husband, Normand Lozeau who sadly passed in March of 2010, after 18 years of marriage.
She enjoyed visiting with family, playing bingo with her friends, going out to eat, and getting her hair done at her local salon. Therese’ took pride in her long flowing necklaces of pearls and always had her hair and nails done up with just the perfect necklace every time she left her home.
Therese’ nicknamed herself “Trouble”. She laughed every time it was proved correct, and she was caught being naughty. She was known for sneaking out late to her local CVS in pursuit of midnight treats. A quick laugh at being caught was quickly followed by a stern, “mind your own business” and always seemed fitting enough for “Trouble” to be her own little inside joke. She was lovingly devoted to her family and is now rejoicing in peace with her beloved husband, Normand and her youngest daughter, Lene’ Charland, who lost her battle to cancer on August 11, 2021.
Therese’ is survived by her two daughters, Deborah A. Winship of Allenstown, NH, and Susan M. Johnson of Manchester, NH; step son, Joe and his wife, Patty Clement; her daughter Lene’s widow and daughter-in-law, Sherry Waterhouse of Allenstown, NH; four grandchildren; Michael Smith of Manchester, NH; Christina A. Winship of Hooksett, NH; Melissa M. Winship of Tampa, FL; Crystal Joyal of Manchester, NH, grand daughter-in-law, Tina Smith of Manchester, NH; and three great grandchildren; Hunter Smith, Jack Cooke and Charley Plummer.
A celebration of Therese’s life will take place in January with her surviving family, friends and those who love her. Therese’ was laid to rest with her husband, Normand at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, in Boscawen NH.
